【摘要】:ThisInternationalStandardspecifiesaprotocolwhichisusedbyNetworkLayerentitiesoperatingtheprotocolspecifiedinISO8473inIntermediateSystemstomaintainrouteinginformationforthepurposeofrouteingwithinasinglerouteingdomain.TheprotocolspecifiedinthisInternationalStandardreliesupontheprovisionofaconnectionless-modeunderlyingservice.ThisInternationalStandardspecifies:a)proceduresforthetransmissionofconfigurationandrouteinginformationbetweennetworkentitiesresidinginIntermediateSystemswithinasinglerouteingdomain;b)theencodingoftheprotocoldataunitsusedforthetransmissionoftheconfigurationandrouteinginformation;c)proceduresforthecorrectinterpretationofprotocolcontrolinformation;andd)thefunctionalrequirementsforimplementationsclaimingconformancetothisInternationalStandard.Theproceduresaredefinedintermsofa)theinteractionsbetweenIntermediatesystemNetworkentitiesthroughtheexchangeofprotocoldataunits;b)theinteractionsbetweenaNetworkentityandanunderlyingserviceproviderthroughtheexchangeofsubnetworkserviceprimitives;andc)theconstraintsonroutedeterminationwhichmustbeobservedbyeachIntermediatesystemwheneachhasarouteinginformationbasewhichisconsistentwiththeothers.note:1)SeeISO8473anditsaddendum3forthemechanismsnecessarytorealizethisserviceonsubnetworksbasedonISO/IEC8208,ISO8802,andtheOSIDataLinkService.
