【摘要】:1.1Thispracticecoversthedesignofacircularline-heat-sourceguardedhotplateforuseinaccordancewithTestMethodC177.Note18212;TestMethodC177describestheguarded-hot-plateapparatusandtheapplicationofsuchequipmentfordeterminingthermaltransmissionpropertiesofflat-slabspecimens.Inprinciple,thetestmethodincludesapparatusdesignedwithguardedhotplateshavingeitherdistributed-orline-heatsources.1.2Theguardedhotplatewithcircularline-heatsourcesisadesigninwhichthemeterandguardplatesarecircularplateshavingarelativelysmallnumberofheaters,eachembeddedalongacircularpathatafixedradius.Inoperation,theheatfromeachline-heatsourceflowsradiallyintotheplateandistransmittedaxiallythroughthetestspecimens.1.3Themeterandguardplatesarefabricatedfromacontinuouspieceofthermallyconductivematerial.Theplatesaremadesufficientlythickthat,fortypicalspecimenthermalconductances,theradialandaxialtemperaturevariationsintheguardedhotplatearequitesmall.Byproperlocationoftheline-heatsource(s),thetemperatureattheedgeofthemeterplatecanbemadeequaltothemeantemperatureofthemeterplate,thusfacilitatingtemperaturemeasurementsandthermalguarding.1.4Theline-heat-sourceguardedhotplatehasbeenusedsuccessfullyoverameantemperaturerangefrom10to+65176;C,withcircularmetalplatesandasingleline-heatsourceinthemeterplate.Thechronologicaldevelopmentofthedesignofcircularline-heat-sourceguardedhotplatesisgiveninRefs(1-9).1.5Thispracticedoesnotpreclude(1)lowerorhighertemperatures;(2)plategeometriesotherthancircular;(3)line-heat-sourcegeometriesotherthancircular;(4)theuseofplatesfabricatedfromceramics,composites,orothermaterials;or(5)theuseofmultipleline-heatsourcesinboththemeterandguardplates.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
